Lancer Media Kitchen: Two Smoothie Recipes to Kick-start your Summer

by Leah Bolger and Julie Walker

For most, summer means pool, lake, and beach days. What could make a summer day more exciting than a refreshing smoothie?

Smoothies taste great, are easy to make, and, most importantly, are a nutritious snack. Smoothies made with fresh fruit and vegetables will give you fiber, vitamins and minerals.

Here are two smoothie recipes we tested at Lancer Media Kitchen.

Braden Weinel, member of the Class of 2020 said “I thought the strawberry banana smoothie was better because the tropical smoothie was kind of strange.”

  1. Frozen strawberries
  2. Frozen bananas
  3. Vanilla yogurt
  4. Milk (can be substituted with almond milk)
