Christopher Robin (PG)  is a drama/fantasy movie which was released on dvd on November 2018.

I remember watching Winnie the Pooh on Disney when I was growing up. Before me, my mom would watch The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh so it comes as no surprise that I wanted to go see Christopher Robin.

One of Winnie the Pooh’s memorable sayings would have to be “I’m a bear with little brain.”  Just about every Winnie the Pooh fan has a favorite line, like “Tut tut.  Looks like rain!”

While Disney’s Christopher Robin is mainly a kids’ movie it still wrestles with adult issues.

The action begins with the book from years ago in the old Winnie the Pooh while going through out the young Christopher Robin’s life.

In everyone’s life there comes a time where you must grow up and move on. For Christopher Robin growing up and moving on meant leaving his friends and going to a boarding school far from home.  Everyday Winnie the Pooh would wait outside Christopher’s door out in the woods and hope he would come back to play but he knew he would forget him.

Sadly, the only thing Christopher Robin felt was anger.  The school he attended was stressful and nothing except work, and it was even harder as he grew. Later, after marriage Christopher Robin joined the military and had to go off to war, leaving his wife a couple months pregnant with his daughter Madelyn.

This movie is definitely worth a watch.  My favorite parts are the scenes of the 100 Acre Woods.

As Winnie the Pooh often says, ” Doing nothing often leads to something.” Even though he seems a simple character, his “bear of little brain” reveals himself to have quite a bit of wisom.

And the re-visit to his childhood bear remids Christopher Robin–and the audience–that family is more important than work.

Even though this movie is no longer in theaters, it’s definitely worth the watch on DVD. This movie is unquestionably a movie to watch with your family on Thanksgiving so all of you can experience that joy in your life once again.

Winnie the Pooh says, “A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference.”  This is the perfect family movie!
