Linganore Varsity baseball seniors Darin Cline, Sam Downs, James Jones, Brett Tibbs, Josh Taylor, and Zach Willett are enjoying their last season on the team before they graduate. The boys had a 3-1 win over South Hagerstown, wearing pink hats to support Lily’s Hope at their home field.

As leaders, this seniors inspire other teammates to work hard to reach their goals as a team and as individuals.

All of these players were a part of last year’s team which made it all the way to the 3A West Sectional Finals, they are looking to make a deep run in the post season this year to cap high school careers.

Brett Tibbs plans to continue his baseball career at Wilson College, Sam Downs will continue his career at Stevenson University, and James Jones will continue his at McDaniel college.

Sam Downs talks about how excited he is for new challenges he will face in college but knows that the experience will be rewarding, and he will enjoy every minute of it.

Zach Willett and Josh Taylor will continue their sports career at Frostburg University but for football.

“One of my favorite parts about high school baseball was our pre-game pictures. It was fun to recreate scenes from movies and it brought the team together,” said Josh Taylor.

Darin Cline will continue his academic career at Mount Saint Mary’s University.

Brett Tibbs said, “I’m really going to miss playing high school baseball, I got to do what I love nearby home.”
