Sing up for clubs by the end of the day on September 14! Find the Google survey to sign up for clubs on the Linganore SGA website. Club signups took place in Main Street with tables and representatives for each club.

Kojo Benefo, a junior and officer of the African American Culture club, said, “I think clubs are a great way for people to meet new students, and learn more about African-American culture. My club isn’t just for African-American students. It’s for everyone to become educated and appreciate a culture in a school that’s not very diverse.”

There are many different clubs offered at Linganore, one of them being the Futsal club.

“It’s a co-ed club for people to gather and have fun. Basically it’s like soccer but shrunken. The balls and field are smaller, and there are fewer people on a team. Students get a free shirt if you join,” said Braden Weinel, an officer of the Futsal club.

Braden is a co-officer alongside Bailey Bennett.

Interested in reading? Join the book club! There’s a club for almost everything, and if there’s something you’re interested in but no club for it, talk to a teacher about starting one.

Don’t forget to sign up for clubs before the deadline! You must have a 2.0 GPA or higher, and club meetings are every other Friday during PREP.
