Are you a junior interested in science, medicine, computer programming, IT, computer graphics, bioinformatics, security, or scientific writing? Would you like to make over $3,000?  If so, consider applying for an internship with National Cancer Institute at Ft. Derrick. The application deadline is December 14. See Mr. Brown or Ms. Radil-Harris in C103, or any science teacher for details.

The UMBC Center for Women in Technology is accepting applications from high school junior girls interested in finding out more about the fields of engineering and computing. This year, about 30 students will be able to attend the Bits & Bytes Program to encourage and support women to be leaders in these fields.

Tomorrow varsity cheer will travel to Harford Community College to compete at the State Championship at noon. The team won a spot to compete during last week’s semi-finals. They were last year‘s Maryland state champs and are hoping for back to back titles. Please come out to support this talented team!

Members of the Science National Honor Society are reminded of a fantastic community service opportunity tomorrow, November 10th at the Audrey Carroll Audubon Sanctuary from 9 am to 12 noon.

Do you want to be part of the indoor track and field team? A brief meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 13 in Coach Eckard’s room, A136. The meeting starts at 2:20 and will end by 2:45.
