On December 15, the varsity girls basketball team won against the North Hagerstown with a dominating final score: 59-21.

This was the Lancer’s fourth game of the season. So far they have lost only to Frederick.

The North Hagerstown team had a much smaller number of players, which maybe didn’t allow them to substitute players as often as needed. While the Lancers were able to go deep into the bench, playing some who don’t get a lot of time on court, often the Hubs stuck with the same players throughout the game.

One of the highest scoring players of the night was Olivia Weinel with several free throws and three-pointers.

The Hubs struggled to gain momentum, fouling the Lancers often.

Although North Hagerstown scored several points, they were nowhere near as strong as the Lancers.

Kara Probeyahn, member of the Class of 2018, shooting the guard, and team captain said “We cut our turnovers in half. We took advantages of our lead to run our offenses through and perfect them. We focused on keeping ball pressure and talking on defense.”
