Linganore has been collecting money in a variety of ways for the Tape Poff drive. She will be taped to the wall on Friday during all lunch shifts.  

Are you interested in science, medicine, journalism, communications, math or business? Apply for an internship at the National Cancer Institute. For more information, sign up through Naviance or in Student Services to attend a meeting with a representative from NCI on November 2.

The Maryland State Food Bank is hosting a “Kids Helping Kids” challenge among all Maryland schools throughout the month of October. The challenge is to collect as many non-perishable food items as possible to help stock local food banks for the winter. Linganore has registered as an official participant!  This food drive will be a challenge among prep classes. The prep class that brings in the most items will receive Krispy Kreme Donuts!

Seniors, this is your last chance to order 2017 senior portraits. Galleries will be deleted after October 15th. Place your final orders now for free shipping.

Do you like to complete service projects AND eat ice cream?

Then join the Key Club in making no-sew blankets for a cat shelter and making ice cream sundaes. Be there this Wednesday the 11th in C101 after school at 2:30 and find out what Key Club is all about.

The Dance Club is hosting a benefit dance recital on November 28th, with all the proceeds to go to Lily Weaver and her family. Linganore dancers are encouraged to create a short dance that will be included in the recital. Auditions for the recital are Monday, October 23rd after school in the theatre. To audition, please sign up outside room D101. See Mrs. Smithhisler with any questions.

National Art Honor society will be hosting a paint night, Monday October 23rd from 7-9 in room A211. The cost is 15 dollars for students and 20 dollars for adults. Visit Ms.Geisser in room A211 to register

Jv and Varsity Field hockey faced off against middletown last night, Jv lost 3-0 and Varsity lost 2-1 in Overtime. better luck next time girls

Both boys and Girls soccer are facing off against tuscarora today boy are away and girls are at home. Jv starts at 5:30 and Varsity starts at 7:00

Volleyball is playing tuscarora at tuscarora today, jv starts at 6 and varsity starts at 7

The girls varsity soccer team is having a winter clothes drive during their senior night next tuesday. They will be collecting new or lightly used  hats, gloves, scarves, socks, coats, pajamas to help out Frederick County families. The drive starts at 5:30 at the stadium.
