Good morning. This is Ms. Larson, your school counselor, and today is the first day of “National School Counseling Week.” Our focus for the week is “Helping Students Realize Their Potential”. Philosopher Confucius once said, “The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential…these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.”  Potential is defined as “an ability that may or may not be developed”.  Everyone has the potential to achieve excellence, and discovering your potential is an extraordinary journey. The first step to realizing your potential is exploration.  As your school counselor, I’m here to help you find the keys to your personal potential. Come by and talk to me soon.  Achieve something great today!

Attention student drivers:  Upon arriving at school, please remember to immediately exit your vehicle and enter the school building.  Please do not “hang out” in the parking lot until the first bell rings.

All students interested in joining the Pit Orchestra for the spring musical “The Addams Family” need to stop by the Performing Arts hallway to sign up. Sign-ups are posted near the band room.  Don’t miss out on this awesome and fun experience!

Have you already signed up for French, German, Latin or Spanish?  If you haven’t, it’s not too late!  Consider taking one of these languages next year.  If you have, continue with your next level and become really proficient.

Interested in experiencing the arts?  Here’s a video with more information.

And now, for sports related news:

Friday night, the girls’ basketball team took down Oakdale with a score of 49-48.

That’s all we have for you today. To replay this video or watch previous announcements, visit schooltube.com/lhslancertv.

Until next time, have a madness Monday, Linganore
