This week is National FFA week!

Throughout this week, there is a contest to support the FFA. There is a stuffed cow placed somewhere in the school and students can find it to get a chance for a prize.  Students locate the cow, take a selfie with it, and post it on Twitter tagging @linganoreffa with a creative caption that goes with the selfie. The most creative caption will earn an opportunity to win a prize.

The Future Farmers of America (FFA) are a group that makes a positive impact in the lives of students by developing their potential for leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

There are thousands of FFA groups all across the United States. FFA gives students opportunity to find themselves in education and explore their various talents through agriculture. However, the FFA also leads students into other career paths other than agriculture from biologists to business owners.

“I feel that FFA is important to students because not many people realize how important is to our community and [the club] shows kids how they can better our community,” says member Ryan Mondonedo.
