News for March 30, 2016

Mr. Hines will be running AP US History review sessions before and after school starting this Thursday, March 31st, in room A225. Before school sessions will be held from 6:20 am – 7:20 am and after school sessions will be held from 2:20 pm – 3:20 pm. Stop by room A225 and sign-up for the sessions you will be attending. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to stop by and ask Mr. Hines anytime!

The Lady Lancers will sponsor a Self-Defense Training Class today at 2:30 pm in room C211 for any interested women. The class will be taught by former Frederick County Deputy Kirby Maybush. The class is free, but we will accept donations for the Heartly House in Frederick.

There will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday, March 31st, at 2:30 pm in room D101 for students going on the NYC trip. Any questions, see Mr. Lazarus.

The 2016 Bettie Award winner is …”Rockstar Energy” by Megan Werner of Linganore High School!

Haley Dixon received an honorable mention in the FCPS Science and Engineering Fair Program Cover Design contest.

Good luck today to the boys’ Varsity baseball team as they take on Tuscarora at home at 4:30 pm. Come out and support your baseball team!

The girls’ and boys’ Varsity tennis teams will play an away match today against Tuscarora High School. The bus will depart from the gym lobby.

Congratulations to the JV softball team for beating Brunswick 23-4! Great job, ladies!

The JV baseball team lost their first game to Brunswick 4-2. Get them next time, Lancers.

The girls’ JV lacrosse team won their first game of the season against Frederick 8-6. Varsity finished 12-13 in a tough loss.

The JV boys’ lacrosse team won 19-0 against Frederick. The Varsity boys’ lacrosse team won 20-0 against Frederick. Great job, Linganore!
