The annual Character Counts celebration today has been postponed until after spring break.

The Lady Lancers will sponsor a Self-Defense Training Class on Wednesday, March 30th, at 2:30 pm in room C211 for any interested women. The class will be taught by former Frederick County Deputy, Kirby Maybush, who has received several Governors’ commendations for this course. The class is free but we will accept donations for the Heartly House in Frederick.

Last night was the talent show! It was a great show with a ton of talented Lancers. The NHS raised a lot of money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Maryland. The best of the best were: Best instrumental Performance: Connal Wright (Piano); Best Dramatic

Performance: Luke Staley (magic); Best Musical Single: Ines Garofolo; Best Musical Group: Olivia DuBro and Jackson Knight; Best Vocal Performance: Elise Fenstermacher; Best Overall Performance; Andrew Livioco and Emily Jones.

Are you a senior? Have you played on a Linganore Varsity team sport? Do you need money for college? Then listen up, Lancers. You don’t want to miss this! Each year, the LHS Sports Boosters awards two $1,000 scholarships to a senior boy and senior girl student athlete. To apply, go to Naviance and get your application today. The application deadline is Monday, May 2nd. The two scholarships will be announced and awarded on Tuesday, May 31st, at Senior Salute.

The Class of 2019 is hosting a fundraiser at the Frederick California Tortilla today from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Just say “Linganore” when you place your order to assure that the money goes to our school!

If you are hungry this weekend, consider eating at Jersey Mike’s to support the Linganore Softball Program. From today through Sunday, March 20th, we will receive 15% of the proceeds from the Mt. Airy and Frederick Jersey Mike’s stores. Just show them one of the attached flyers to make sure the money goes to our school.
