The National English Honor Society encourages all students to write “Santagrams” and send them to your friends, staff members or classmates.  Pick up a postcard outside of room C203; after you finish writing your message, drop the postcard in the mailbox outside of room C203.

Attention band, orchestra and chorus students:  How would you like to travel to Europe over the summer and perform concerts with other high school students from our region?  American Music Abroad provides this opportunity for hundreds of high school musicians each year.  To find out more, attend an informational meeting in the Linganore High School band room this Wednesday, December 21st, at 7:00 pm with a representative from American Music Abroad.  See Mr. Lloyd for a brochure and more information.

A representative from the Academy of Fine Arts at TJ High School will be visiting Linganore during PREP on Tuesday, December 20th.  The AFA program is for visual and performing arts students who are interested in more advanced study and possibly a career in the arts.  Interested students may speak with any of our art, music or drama teachers to sign up for this opportunity.  The meeting will take place in the band room, D105, this Tuesday during PREP.

Members of the Science National Honor Society are reminded to turn in their national dues by Monday, December 19th.

This is a reminder to juniors applying for the Werner H. Kirsten internship program at the National Cancer Institute–your application is due today!

The Egg Nog Jog is tomorrow!  Sign up at lunch or online at www.lancereggnogjog.com/registration.  The event is this Saturday, December 17th, at 9:00 am.

Congratulations go out to two members of our Lady Lancer’s soccer team who were selected to the All-State team:  Miranda Keaton and Miranda Timberlake — way to go!

Tonight, the basketball teams take on South Hagerstown. The girls will be at home and the boys will be at South Hagerstown.

Any girl or boy interested in playing for the Varsity tennis team this spring needs to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, December 20th, in room A139, at 2:20 pm.
