The next after school AP Psychology review will be today. Remember, this test is almost impossible to pass without having attended these after school sessions.

Attention juniors and seniors: Prom tickets are on sale today through Friday. Tickets are $35. Non-LHS guests need a guest form. Please pick up non-LHS guest forms and limo coupons outside of Mrs. Hirschy’s room C126. All financial obligations must be paid before you can purchase tickets. In order to attend prom, students are expected to be at school for a full day on Friday, May 6.

Attention all first semester AP English Language and Composition students: The AP Comp exam is coming up on Wednesday, May 11. Practice and review sessions will be held after school Wednesday afternoons from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm beginning April 20. For more information, see Mr. Tringali.

All students who have registered to take an AP exam must attend one of the two pre-administration sessions after school in the cafeteria from 2:30 pm – 3:10 pm. Students whose last names begin with A-M should attend on April 20, and students whose last names begin with N-Z should attend on April 21. Please bring a number two pencil to the session.

The LHS 26th Annual Art show will be held Thursday, April 21, in the Auxiliary Gym, and will be open to parents and the public from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm. The NAHS Induction Ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm. Come see hundreds of original artworks created by students in all levels of art classes. There will also be a silent auction to raise money for the NAHS Scholarship Fund. Artwork will be on display through third block on Friday, April 22.

All students who have previously returned a “Permission to Test” form to Student Services have been placed on the Accuplacer testing roster for Tuesday, April 19. Testing rosters will be posted outside the Assistant Principal’s office. Students taking the Accuplacer exam should report directly to the assigned computer lab no later than 7:30 am on April 19. Those students who requested MA 207 will be taking the math portion of the Accuplacer and should be sure to bring a calculator to the test.

Junior, Jadyn Eakins, just took second place in an essay contest sponsored by the University of Maryland about Thornton Wilder’s novel The Ides of March.

And now for sports related news…

Congratulations to the girls’ softball team who took a 9-2 lead on Friday against Walkersville.

The boys’ tennis team beat Walkersville 4-1 on Friday. The girls’ tennis team lost to Walkersville 3-2.

The Varsity baseball team was defeated by Walkersville with a score of 10-9. Get them next time, Lancers.

The boys’ JV baseball team lost to Middletown on their first game, but defeated them in their second game. Great job, Lancers!

The girls’ softball JV team took the win in a double- header against Middletown on Saturday.

Good luck to Varsity baseball, Varsity softball, and the girls’ and boys’ tennis teams tonight as they play against Catoctin.

And good luck to the boys’ JV lacrosse team for their game against Tuscarora at home.
