Pre-Vet class dissects pigs: Photo of the Day 2/27/2015

Mrs. Patricia Beachy’s Pre-Vet Large Animal class gets up close and personal with pigs as they dissected a pig’s hearts, lungs, trachea, and feet.

“We used scalpels and stuff to cut out the muscles and looked inside each different area.  I got to look inside a heart. It was pretty intense,” said senior Julia Peigh.

Junior Sarah Unangst agrees with Peigh. “My favorite part was dissecting the pig’s heart.  Dissecting the heart gave a much clearer view of all the components I don’t think a book could give.”
