The Lady Lancers offense await the oncoming cross from the corner.

As the 2015 fall season is rapidly coming to an end, and playoffs approaching, the Lady Lancers continue to impress. In action previously this week on Tuesday, Oct. 20, against North Hagerstown both squads walked away with  1-0 victories.

Then, Lady Lancers took the spotlight on Thursday, Oct. 22. They went into unfamiliar territory and were not intimidated by the Roaders (Brunswick High), as the ladies knocked them off their own tracks. JV cinched a 1 to 0 shutout, while Varsity impressed the crowd with an exciting 3 to 1 victory.

The Lady Lancers Varsity squad finished off first in the MVAL – Chesapeake Region. They also won the #1 seed in the Inaugural Central Maryland Conference Championship Game, where they will play Urbana on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2 p.m. at Hood College. Not only that, but they are also in order for clinching the inaugural CMC Spires Division Championship. Their overall record placed them third in the state of Maryland (15-1-1).

After October 22nd game, JV team captain freshman Abby Rieland said, “It was a great win! The team played as a unit, and I’m glad that we were able to get one on the road. Lets hope we can do it again Monday.” And they did!

Although, the Varsity team’s regular season ended Thursday October 23, the JV team still has one more to go. They are set to play in a rescheduled match against Walkersville Tuesday, Oct. 27 on the road. Our Lady Lancers our coming in strong with high hopes to regain yet again another victory in their fall season.
