On Saturday LHS brought its first full delegation to the 10th annual Frederick Model United Nations.  Eight students have been working since September to prepare for the simulation.  Their work paid off.  There were four awards given out that LHS kids were eligible to receive.  There were over 260 kids there, and 3 of those top 4 spots went to LHS kids. All LHS delegates to this Year’s Model United Nations are truly worthy of praise.  However, a few were recognized at the event doing outstanding work in diplomacy.

Kasal Smaha was recognized as best position paper in General Assembly 2.  Chaney Schultz was the outstanding delegate in General Assembly 2, and Garrett Wiehler was the outstanding delegate at General Assembly 1.  In our first year participating, we were recognized more than any other school there, some of which brought over 50 students.
