Suspicious activity reported at LHS on 3/20/2014

 The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office issued the following news release on Friday, March 21, 2014. It was originally shared by FCPS on Friday via FindOutFirst.
 

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY REPORTED AT LINGANORE HIGH SCHOOL

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating suspicious activity that occurred yesterday, 03/20/2014, at Linganore High School.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. a man entered Linganore High School’s main office and began exhibiting suspicious behavior and asking suspicious questions. He then exited the building and left the premises. School staff reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Office this morning, which prompted an investigation.

The man is described as a white male with short brown hair and is approximately 6ft. tall and weighs 220lbs. The Sheriff’s Office has identified the man and is working with allied agencies to locate and interview him.

As a result of the incident the Sheriff’s Office has increased its presence in and around schools. The investigation is ongoing.
