Lights Out is the photography class’s first in class shoot where the lights are turned off and glowing objects are shot in the dark. The shutter speed was slowed due to the lack of light. Movement was created by moving the object or camera to create the illusion of motion. Hannah Laughter (posing in photograph) and Amanda Tapscott used glow-sticks and other glow-in-the-dark objects. By moving the glow sticks around during the time the photo was being taken allows the light to be captured in each movement. To achieve total darkness Tapscott and Laughter created a small fort out of blankets and sheets, which was half of the fun.
