If you haven’t seen the article on lhslance.org, Olivia Goldstein and Lancer Media have launched an effort to recognize the great teachers at LHS by using the hashtag #LHSHero on twitter and other social media. You can do this too! Let’s take a look at what some students, parents, and teachers are saying about these unsung heroes. Olivia Goldstein says “My #LHSHero is Mrs. Murphy, who makes the effort to put her students first, and coffee and tea on Friday is always a treat.” Search #LHSHero on twitter to read other inspiring tweets!

On March 28th and 29th, you can come out to Cinderella’s Closet at the Walkersville town hall at 21 West Frederick St. in the upper meeting room. All of the collection’s items are new or like new. The sale time on Friday, March 28th is 6-9pm, and on Saturday, March 29th it’s 10am – 2pm. Doors open at 5:30 on Friday and at 9:30 on Saturday. Monday is St. Patrick’s Day! And Club Project Triple S is trying to get everyone in good spirits and make people smile. During all lunch shifts for the past two days, we have encouraged you to come fill out a Happy Gram to send to “your person” on St. Paddy’s Day. Today is the last day to send a Happy Gram to a friend, boyfriend or girlfriend, teacher, counselor, administrator or any other staff member. This service is absolutely free, so please stop by our table during your lunch shift and take advantage of this opportunity to make someone smile!

Don’t forget! The Varsity Tennis Team is holding their annual fundraiser, “Quarter Auction”, tonight in the cafeteria. Doors Open at 6 PM, Auction starts at 7 PM. It is a family friendly event with lots of good prizes to bid on and win. The cost is $8.00 at door admission if you have not already reserved a seat. Food and refreshments will be provided. Don’t miss out on this opportunity for family and friends to come out and bid on items from several unique vendors.
