Congratulations to Annee Lyons, whose original illustrated children’s story, composed entirely in Latin, has been accepted for publication by Ascanius, the Youth Classics Institute. Ascanius holds a SCRIBO contest annually for high school students and sponsors Latin camps all over the world for elementary school students.

The senior class is having a car wash this Saturday to help raise money for graduation. The car wash will be held from 9-3 at the New Market Food Lion. There isn’t a set price, they are just accepting donations of any amount.

AP Environmental Science students from 1st semester will have Review Session #10 for the National Exam today after school at 2:20 p.m. in Room A139.

Did you know that over 20 million children receive free or reduced-price lunches each school day? To help, let’s drop off canned food donations in the main office or the bus and athletic entrances. Help us reach our goal of 2,000 cans!

Tonight from 5:30 to 7:00, the Auxiliary Gym will become a Visual Feast for the eyes as LHS hold our annual art show.  In addition to the student work, there will be  a silent auction of both student and staff work and a ceremony for the National Art Honor Society Students.

A representative from Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics will be visiting on May 6th. This school specializes in Aircraft Maintenance. They will meet in Room 122 at the beginning of all periods.  Please see Ms. Riley in Student Services to sign up.

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Tennis team for beating South Carroll with the score of 4-1. the  Girls won as well with a final score of Lancers 3 South Carroll 2. Great job lancers!
