This week is National French Week, an annual celebration of French language and French culture. France is known for its cuisine, architecture and fashion, but nothing is more famous than French art. The French honor society has decided that this year’s celebration should be focused on art. Art students joined them in painting original work of art inspired by renowned French artists. The result of this cross curriculum collaboration gave some outstanding art work that you can see exhibited in the main hall. Thanks to all the participants and their teachers, Mrs. Geisser and Mr. Madenspacher, for their hard work and support, and congratulations to the winners:

  • In first place, Meghan McKee.
  • In second place, Rylle Dufresne, and,
  • in third place, Laura Schumate.

A special thanks goes to Megan Newcomer, President of the Art Honor Society and member of the French Honor Society, who designed the t-shirts and organized this event. You are also invited to join the French Honor Society on Wednesday November 20th at 6 pm for a cooking class where you will learn how to make delicious French crêpes.
