The Linganore High School Indoor Color Guard will be holding tryouts tomorrow evening from 6-9pm. The meeting will begin in the band room, D105. Previous color guard experience is not required, but students will be asked to demonstrate proficiency in dance and movement to music, as well as potential for working with color guard equipment. This is a great group for anyone who loves music and dance.

Because we live near one of the world’s leading cancer research facilities at Ft. Detrick, Frederick county students are some of the few students in the country with the opportunity to apply for an internship at the National Cancer Institute. If you are a junior with an interest in science, medicine, or computer science, you may want to apply for one of these prestigious internships. See any science teacher or Ms. Radil-Harris in C103 for more information.

Rho Kappa, the National History Honor Society, brings to you Money Wars. What is Money Wars? As in the past where you voted to see a favorite faculty member kiss a goat or receive a pie in the face, you can now contribute any money amount to see which faculty member will dress as a person from history! Fifteen faculty members are participating and some have chosen the character they will dress up as if they win, but others will leave it up to you-the students! So stop by the Rho Kappa table in the cafeteria this week during all four lunch shifts and vote for the faculty member of your choice!

The Varsity football team took home another win last Friday night against south Hagerstown, with a score of 47-16. The team advances to the 3A West Region final, where they’ll play Urbana this Friday night at 7. Great job Lancers!
