Announcements for Thursday, October 10th

Spirit competition got a little closer yesterday.

The banners have been judged. First place goes to the Class of 2017 AND the Class of 2016 in a tie with the class of 2015 in a close second. The Class of 2017 and the Class of 2014 are in a near tie for first place overall. The Class of 2016 made tremendous gains with their performance in yesterday’s lunch time competitions. More points are on the line today in our class color spirit dress and for today’s lunch time competitions. If you would like to compete check in with Riley Bruning when you get to the cafeteria.

The SGA is sponsoring the PINK OUT for the Homecoming game tomorrow night. The goal is to have our stands totally in pink. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we want to help. Get your PINK OUT shirt today at lunch, cost is $13 and all proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. If you don’t have the “official” shirt, that’s ok. Any pink will do. Be creative. Add pink everywhere- hair, hats, socks, pants, whatever! THINK PINK!! Also, our game has been selected yet again as WHAG-TV’s game of the week! Come out to support the team and show everyone our Lancer pride!

Attention new Rho Kappa Members: There will be a mandatory meeting tomorrow after school in Mr. Burch’s room A215.

Students wishing to attend a Study Hall tomorrow during the Pep Rally must sign-up in the Media Center by the end of the school day today. Students are expected to work quietly on their own. No computers will be available for use.

Due to the weather, there will be NO Unified Tennis practice today. Players are reminded the County Tennis Tournament will be held on Monday at Middletown.

If you’re interested in trying out for a spot on this year’s Boys Freshman, JV, or Varsity Basketball teams, you need to stop by Coach Kraft’s office, B102, to sign up and pick up paperwork. If you do not fill out the proper paperwork, you will not be allowed to try out.

Any student interested in taking a course at CTC next year, should sign up to shadow the program of their choice. Any student interested in shadowing a program should see Ms. Riley in Student Services for more information.

Until next time, have a great day Linganore.
