If you plan to wear a Halloween costume to school on Thursday, guidelines must be followed so that the learning environment is maintained:

  •  At no time should your face be covered by a costume or mask, concealing your identity.
  • Face painting is prohibited.
  • Sunglasses are not to be worn in the building.
  • Staff must be able to identify students at all times.
  • County dress policies must be adhered to. For instance, costumes such as a pirate outfit may not include a swashbuckling sword; a military soldier may not carry a gun.
  • Weapons of any kind (even look-alikes) are prohibited on school property.
  • You may not wear costumes that are unduly revealing.
  • You may not wear clothing or items that are obscene, libelous or feature sexually offensive or vulgar words, picture, phrases or drawings.
  • If you choose to participate, please be sure your outfit is school appropriate.
