The Pom and Dance team performs at football games, pep rallies, and competitions.

The team has 8 seniors leaving. Caitlin Caffrey, Lexi Watson, Marlee Steig, Emma Ruch, Taylor Thomas, Alyssa Yammarino, Brooke Bennett and Bree Cacioppo.

Captains, Watson and Thomas, have been on the team since freshman year. They both agreed that performing at football games was the thing they loved the most about being on Poms.

Poms competed in the State’s MAPDA as a division 1 team. They were the Runner Up Grand Champions of the event. The team also achieved 1st Place in Short Pom, Lyrical, Kick, and Prop. Their Jazz routine got 2nd.

Steig participated in a spin-off and won 1st place at the MAPDA.

“My favorite memory was winning States in 2015. It was so exciting and that was my first year on poms,” said Steig.

“The Pep Rallies are my favorite memories. I will miss them, the team, and performing so much,” said Thomas.

Thomas will be attending the University of Maryland, but will not be dancing for the school.

Steig and Yammarino will be attending Towson and both will be trying out for the dance team for the school.

Watson will be attending Old Dominion University and is considering trying out for the team there.

The seniors were a great asset to the team and Ms. Richardson and the rest of the team will miss them next year!
