Class of 2017: Girls lacrosse sticks it with 7 days of school left

Seniors have seven days left and the senior lacrosse girls are ready to stick it. After the loss to Middletown in the quarterfinals, the girls celebrated their season May 15, 2017, with a banquet at Dutches Daughter.

This year there was three seniors, Emily Daly defender, Grace Weaver a midfielder, and Bre Wade a goalie.

Next year, Weaver will be attending Hood College in the fall to play soccer. She will be going on a full academic scholarship. Weaver will be majoring in History and receiving her teacher certificate.

Wade will be attending Stevenson University and will be a member of the marching band program. Wade will be majoring in criminal justice and minoring in psychology. She is already preparing for her future by interning with the Maryland State Police.

“I am excited to go to Stevenson because I think that I will be extremely prepared for my future. I’m also excited to meet new people and become involved in school activities,” said Wade.

Daly will be attending Madonna University and will be a member of the lacrosse team. She will major in hospitality and tourism management. Daly is excited to continue to play lacrosse in college, “They have a fairly new program, but I hope to be able to improve my skills and the team as a whole,” she said.
