On May 31st, underclassmen were  were recognized for academic and departmental achievements as the 2016/2017 school year comes to a close. In the freshman class of 2020, there were 81 students recognized for having maintained a 4.0 GPA. For the class of 2018, only 21 students had managed to keep their perfect 4.0 GPA. Mr. Jeremy Brown, SGA Adviser and organizer of the event, challenged all students to maintain or increase their performance in school.

Junior Bridget Murphy was recognized for her academic excellence as she maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher during this past semester. “It’s fun to go to because it’s nice to see everyone acknowledged for their hard work,” said Murphy.

Sophomore Allejah Seraton was recognized for his academic excellence as he maintained a 3.5 GPA or higher in this previous semester. “The award show is encouraging for students to work  harder in school since they see other kids getting awards” said Seraton.
