The Drama and Performing Arts departments have been hard at work these past few weeks in preparation for our spring musical “The Addams Family”. We would love to have you and your family and friends come see the show. There is a suggested PG-13 rating, but nothing inappropriate. The show opens on Thursday, April 6th, at 7:00 pm and runs through the weekend.  Matinees are Saturday, April 8th, and Sunday, April 9th, at 2:00 pm.
Attention juniors:  The Prom decorating session for today is cancelled.  We will be working on decorations on Saturday, April 1st, from 9:00 am to noon.  All juniors are invited to help.

Our school is one of many schools in the county participating in the Quarters for Cancer campaign.  It is part of the ACS Radiothon that will occur this week to support Frederick County Relay for Life. If you would like to help with the cause, we would love to have your support!  Thursday is the last day for collecting.  We accept coins, bills and checks made payable to the American Cancer Society.  Donations can be made to the “Kids with the Bins” at all lunch shifts or given to Mr. Brown.

The Lancers against Cancer team will be running a 5K Saturday morning at Baker Park at 8:00 am for the Radiothon 5K.  See Mr. Brown if you want to join.

The Healing Hearts drive is collecting children’s books, coloring books, crayons and new stuffed animals. These items will be donated to the New Market Volunteer Fire Department for the firefighters to give to children to comfort them in high stress situations. A donation box is set up in the front office and donations will be accepted until Thursday, April 13th.
