LHSsees2020: Matt DeMember anticipates life on the field at Grove City College
Senior Matt DeMember waits will anticipation for the start of college.
On February 3, senior Matt DeMember signed his National Letter of Intent to play football at Grove City College. As the school year comes to an end, he is full with anticipation for the upcoming fall.
Grove City College, founded in 1876, is located in Pennsylvania and offers over 50 programs of study. Their mission is to provide an affordable liberal and professional education while providing a college that will strengthen the student’s spiritual and moral character.
“I chose Grove City because I love the atmosphere and the football staff,” said DeMember.
Aside from life on the field, DeMember is excited for life in the classroom. “I am going in as a marketing major. I want to be in the field for sports marketing because I love sports and talking to people,” said DeMember.
Being no stranger to athletics, he hopes to gain more experience while maintaining a healthy balance of academics, sports, and social life. “I am going to miss all of my friends from Linganore, but I can’t wait to make new ones at college!”
