October 12,  the girls’ varsity soccer team defeated the Oakdale Bears with a close score of 2-0. During this game, senior Miranda Keaton broke the school record for most goals scored in a single season, with a total of 21 goals this season.

This record was held previously by Montana Hill who graduated in 2016 and now plays for Coastal Carolina.

Senior Mallory Maher said, “Both teams fought hard, but we all persevered and played our best until the final whistle, taking the win for our school.”

Because of the dedication and talent of the athletes on the team, they are now in the number 2 seed in the county, falling short to Urbana High School. The team is looking forward to a successful post season this year.
