Linganore’s National Honor Society had their annual induction ceremony on November 14, adding 60 new members to the group.

The National Honor Society is a group of academic students that dedicates their time and service to the community, and at the same time shows characteristics of leadership and scholarship throughout their school.

Class of 2018 member, Jordan Cencula said, “It’s a process of applications and keeping up your GPA to be eligible, but it’s all worth it afterwards.”

The organization is more than just an addition to your college applications, it’s a chance for people to serve in our community and raise money for not only our school, but charities. They hold different sales and activities to make a difference during their time in high school.

The NHS works hard each year to encourage their students to get involved with the community and their school, and they will continue this and to grow as an organization. They hold the annual talent show, which not only shows the amount of talent our school holds, but it also raises money for charity. The event is also a good way for students to get more involved with the chapter and show their support to the school.

Mrs. Durann Ecalono and Mr. Scott Stair are the new advisers for the society.
