Tonight there will be a fundraiser at CarterQue Barbeque in Mount Airy from 5:00–9:00 pm.  Fifteen percent of food sales from any guest who presents a fundraising ticket will go to the Linganore High School Safe and Sane.

It’s time to plan the Linganore Travel Club’s trip to Italy! The trip will take place in June from the 19th to the 29th. The club will ride in a gondola through the waters of Venice, watch glassblowing from master craftsmen, see the Romeo and Juliet balcony in Verona, visit Florence for some amazing renaissance art, visit the Colosseum and the Vatican in Rome, walk the ruins of Pompeii and visit the Blue Grottos by boat in beautiful Capri. They finish all this off with a beach day on the Italian coast. You don’t want to miss it! There will be a parent’s meeting on Tuesday, October 18th, at 7:00 pm. Students interested in CTC:  Take the opportunity to shadow two programs of your choice. Applications are available in the Student Services office. See your counselor for additional information. You are also welcome to see Mrs. Duggan in Student Services regarding your options.

Members of the Science National Honor Society have an opportunity to earn community service hours by participating in Linganore PTSA’s highway cleanup this Saturday, October 22nd.  Volunteers will meet at the New Market Food Lion at 8:00 am.  All volunteers must watch a safety video prior to the cleanup.

Underclass picture make-ups are scheduled for today. If you were dissatisfied with your last set of pictures and would like a retake, you must return the original portrait package that you purchased, in order to receive a new package. Please see Mrs. Shapiro in the front office with questions.

Boys’ soccer beat North Hagerstown last night.  Varsity won 4-1 and the JV score was 2-0.

Girls’ soccer also took down North Hagerstown. Varsity won 4-0. The JV score was 3-0.

The field hockey teams take on Manchester Valley at home tonight.
