Attention next year’s Dual Enrollment applicants: Friday, March 18th, is the deadline for turning in your High School Based Dual Enrollment Permission to Test Form. This form can be found online on the LHS website under the “Dual Enrollment” quick link. Forms can be turned into the drop box outside of Ms. Becker’s office. If you meet one of the exemption qualifiers, please remember to attach that proof to your form before submission.

Advanced Placement (AP) exams will be given the first two weeks of May. All students taking AP exams must be registered no later than Friday, March 18th. Two exam registration periods have ended and this is the last opportunity to register for an exam. Extra exam registration materials are available from Ms. Smith in the Assistant Principal’s office.

AP exam rosters will be posted on Main Street on Tuesday, March 29th. Students should verify that their registration has been recorded for each exam requested. Any errors in the exam rosters should be reported to Ms. Smith in the Assistant Principal’s office no later than Wednesday, March 30th. Please contact Ms. Smith or Mr. Keller at 240-566-9712 with any questions.

On Wednesday, March 16th, the health room will be hosting an event called National KICK BUTT DAY at every lunch shift. It is a National Day that empowers youth to stand out, speak up and seize control against Big Tobacco. There will be a table at each lunch shift so students and staff can come by, see what it’s all about, and support being tobacco and nicotine free!! More than 1,000 events in schools and communities across the United States will take place on March 16th. Come be a part of Kick Butt Day. Come tell your reason why you have chosen to be tobacco/nicotine free!

The Class of 2019 is hosting a fundraiser at the Frederick California Tortilla on Friday, March 18th, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Just say “Linganore” when you place your order to assure that the money goes to our school!

Congratulations to Emily Seth for taking second place in States for poetry for “Digital Conversation”.

Congratulations Brianna Pettaway for winning the Martin Luther King, Jr. award!
