Sign up for the fifth annual Egg Nog Jog! The jog is Saturday, December 17th, at 9:00 am. They have a goal to raise $10,000!

UMD is hosting a “Developing Revolutionary Engineers and Mentors” conference for young women interested in a career in engineering. The conference is free and includes lunch. One adult may accompany each student. Both adults and students must pre-register. The conference is on Saturday, February 25th, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm at the Adele H. Stamp Student Union at University of Maryland College Park.

The UMBC Center for Women in Technology is accepting applications from high school junior girls interested in finding out more about the fields of engineering and IT. This year, we are excited that we will be able to invite about 35 students to attend the “Bits & Bytes Program” to encourage and support women to be leaders in information technology and engineering fields.  Please see Mr. Greene, in room C105, for additional information.

Lancer Media’s friend, Elfie, is hiding somewhere in Linganore. If you can tell us where he is in the daily picture, you will be entered in a daily contest. If you win the daily contest, you will be entered in the weekly drawing for a gift card. Weekly raffle winners will be announced via Twitter on each Monday of December. Today is the last day to vote for your prom theme.  The survey is on the left-hand side under the “About Me” tab in Naviance. The choices are: Arabian Nights, Enchanted Forest, Hollywood Red Carpet and Las Vegas Casino. The winning theme will be announced on Monday, December 5th.

Toys for Tots collection has begun!  Help to make Christmas better for a little boy or girl by donating a new unwrapped toy. Collections will run until Friday, December 9th.
