Attention juniors and seniors: Prom tickets are on sale today through Friday. Tickets are $35. Non-LHS guests need a guest form. Please pick up non-LHS guest forms and limo coupons outside of Mrs. Hirschy’s room C126. All financial obligations must be paid before you can purchase tickets. In order to attend prom, students are expected to be at school for a full day the Friday before.

Attention all first semester AP English Language and Composition students: The AP Comp exam is coming up on Wednesday, May 11. Practice and review sessions will be held after school Wednesday afternoons from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, beginning Wednesday, April 20. For more information, see Mr. Tringali.

Students and staff: Come and join the “Character Counts Springs into LHS” today in the cafeteria, during all lunch shifts, to help fill the good character pillars. Come and display your best character trait on the six pillars of good character. Character counts bracelets and candy will be handed out at this event!

All students who have registered to take an AP exam must attend one of the two pre-administration sessions after school in the cafeteria from 2:30 pm – 3:10 pm. Students whose last names begin with A-M should attend on April 20, and students whose last names begin with N-Z should attend on April 21. Please bring a number two pencil to the session.

The LHS 26th Annual Art show will be held Thursday, April 21, in the Auxiliary Gym, and will be open to parents and the public from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm. The NAHS Induction Ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm. Come see hundreds of original artworks created by students in all levels of art classes. There will also be a silent auction to raise money for the NAHS Scholarship Fund. Artwork will be on display through third block on Friday, April 22.

And now for sports related news…

Come join the Linganore National Honor Society as they take on the Oakdale National Honor Society in the Annual NHS Charity Basketball Game tomorrow at 6:00 pm. The cost is $2.00 and it is at Oakdale. All proceeds benefit the Samaritan Women’s Shelter of Baltimore.

Last night, the Varsity baseball team lost their game against Catoctin. Get them next time, Lancers!

The boys’ JV lacrosse team won their game against Tuscarora with a score of 12-6.

The Varsity softball team lost against Catoctin by only five points.

Both the boys’ and girls’ tennis and lacrosse teams beat Catoctin. Great job, Lancers!

Good luck to the boys’ JV baseball team, as well as the girls’ and boys’ track teams. Varsity baseball plays at home against TJ. Track competes with Tuscarora and Oakdale.

Another good luck to Varsity lacrosse and the JV and Varsity girls’ lacrosse teams as they play against Walkersville tonight.
