Review sessions for the AP European History exam start Wednesday, March 2nd. The sessions will run from 6:30 am to 7:15 am. Calendars are available in Mr. Burch’s room, as well as on Google drive.

Congratulations to Mr. Miller for being named History Teacher of the Year by Daughters of the American Revolution!

Attention band members: Symphonic band rehearsals begin today after school at 2:45 pm. Please be on time.

And now for sports related news…

Anyone interested in playing Varsity tennis this year must turn in their required paperwork to Coach Sunkel in room A139 by this Friday, February 26th. Tryouts begin Tuesday, March 1st.

Anyone interested in boys’ or girls’ track should attend an informational meeting on Thursday, February 25th. It will be held in room A136 and it begins at 2:30 pm.

Congratulations to freshman Earl Blake for winning the 120 pound weight class at the FCPS County Championship. Earning fourth place honors are Ian Faulconer, Cody Yinger, Ryan Jorgezoon and John Morris. Congratulations to Linganore wrestling for having eleven wrestlers qualify for Regional Championship Wrestling at Westminster High School on Saturday, February 27th.

The LHS Sports Boosters has a brand new blanket for sale. It’s super fuzzy and the cost is $60.00. If you would like to purchase one, please see Mrs. Day in the front office, before or after school.

Yesterday, the boys’ JV basketball team lost to Middletown 49 to 47 in overtime. The JV girls’ basketball team also lost to Middletown 31 to 27.

Congratulations to the girls’ Varsity basketball team for beating Middletown, yesterday, 47 to 44 in overtime.

Speaking of beating Middletown, tonight at Hood College, the boys’ Varsity basketball team will take on Middletown for the CMC Championship. Tip-off is at 7:00 pm and tickets are being sold during all lunch shifts and at the door for $5.00.
