Throughout the month of May Linganore’s Performing Arts have been filled with busy schedules of performances.

On May 1 in the Dining Hall held the LHS Instrumental Music & Guard award ceremony. During the ceremony seniors presented Mr. Lloyd with a musical tie, a Beatles poster, and stained glass as a good-bye gift.

One day after the award ceremony the All-County Jazz Ensemble Concert was held at 4 pm in the theatre. The group consisted of four musicians, Shawn Murrie and Andy Brown on trombone, Shawn Verma on piano, and Nick Belski on drums.

Gary Rupert, previously of Middletown High School and for the past 10 years at Smithsburg High School, directed the group of musicians.

May 7th, the Orchestra, Freshman Band and Symphonic Band performed.

Yet to come, this friday the Advanced Acting Showcase will be held at 7pm in the theatre.

Lastly, May 20th a Pro Jazz Concert will be hosted. James Miltenberger Jazz Quintet, and other special guests will be performing.
