Juniors are looked sharp for the annual junior interviews that were held first and second periods in the cafeteria on Wednesday, April 16.

Interviews are held every year for the junior class to practice job and career skills.

This spring, there were 25 interviewers and over 200 members of the Class of 2016 participating.  This task is accomplished in a little over three hours.

Local community volunteers and parents act as the employers, and juniors have a face-to-face interview.  Sometimes, when a student is very well-prepared, the employer will suggest the student really apply to work!

Students have to prepare a resume and, during their interviews, the interviewer will ask them questions based on that resume.

“I was not as nervous as I thought I’d be and it actually went really well,” said junior Greg Thompson.

Interviews can last anywhere between 10-20 minutes, depending on how much the student and the interviewer have to talk about.

The event is organized by Internship and Work Study coordinators, Mr. Jeremy Brown and Mrs. Jennifer Radil-Harris with support from the English Department.
