Is that wreath made of Bingo cards? Yes, it is. Mrs. Sharon Smith, clerical assistant in the AP’s office, created this wreath out of Safe and Sane bingo cards from last year.

She got the used cards from her coworkers and others who attended the event as well as saved her own tickets from last year.  Smith is a large supporter of the Safe and Sane program because she feels it is a great cause.

Currently, the bingo creation is in the AP office behind Smith’s desk; however, tonight it will be on the door of the Liberty Town Fire Hall. Attendees will get to look at the wreath as they walk in, but it will not be raffled off or a part of the bingo prizes.

Safe and Sane is holding a Basket and Bag Bingo tonight at the Libertytown Fire Hall. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 7:00 p.m. Bingo and Raffle tickets will be available at the door. Several additional items will be raffled. The biggest raffle prize will be a cash prize of $1,000.

All proceeds, donations, and ticket sales will go to the Safe and Sane Program and benefit the future events and the students.

Ms. Sharon Smith says, “Safe and Sane is a great cause. Even though I’m bad at Bingo I still attend to support the seniors and the program.” Everyone is welcome and tickets will be $25.00.

Safe and Sane is a program that focuses on encouraging students to be safe and have fun without involving alcohol and putting themselves and others at risk on the road. Their main event is held after graduation with all seniors that choose to participate. The students spend the night at Mount St. Mary’s and participate in different events such as races, delicious food and even moon bounces.

Don’t have any plans tonight? Come out to Safe and Sane bingo and support the Class of 2015 and the program at the Liberty Town Fire Hall.
