Linganore is looking for students interested in leadership. Our student government is seeking candidates for office in the SGA and for your Class Councils.  Candidate packets are available outside room C103.  See Mr. Brown or any current officer with questions.  Candidate packets are due on Friday so get yours today!

Congratulations to the Key Club for many awards received at the Capital District Convention over the weekend.  They were  recognized as a platinum club for membership growth, a bronze club for contributions to UNICEF, and an outstanding club for early dues payments.  Allison deBlois was recognized as a Distinguished Club President and Kasal Smaha was recognized as a Distinguished Club Editor.  Finally Evan Avilia was awarded the outstanding club member award and was installed as the new Lieutenant  Governor for Division 7A. Great job lancers!

All students who have registered for AP exams should review the exam roster posted on Main Street today through Wednesday March 25th to check for accuracy. Any errors should be reported to Ms. Smith in the AP office no later than Thursday March 26th.

The Linganore Pom and Dance team attended the Mid Atlantic Pom and Dance State Championships this past Saturday at Towson. The team was awarded Grand Champion with the highest score of Division 2, a first for LHS. The girls also placed 1st in Short Pom, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Total Package, and 2nd Place in Jazz.  Captains Jenn Berardi, Olivia Dubro and Moe de La Viez won first place captains and Abigail Montgomery and Harper Lindsey received 2nd place captain in their respective dances.  Maggie Hall placed 3rd and Abigail Montgomery placed 2nd in the spin off.  Great job! Congratulations ladies on a well deserved win!

HCC is offering its 7th annual biotechnology summer institute program for high school students. This program gives you the opportunity to earn 7 college science credits and explore careers in biotechnology. If you are 16 or older and interested, applications are due April 1st.

Attention band seniors, Applications for the 2015 Band Booster Scholarship are available from Mr. Lloyd in the band room.  The deadline for completion of the application is April 9th, and the winner will be announced at the band banquet on May 1st.  See Mr. Lloyd for more information.

The NHS would like to thank everyone who came out Saturday night for the talent show. Tt was an amazing show. Congratulations to the following winners: Matt Earp and Ross Hayek for best Instrumental Performance, Abby Weinel for best Musical Performance, Alyssa Lewis for best Dance Performance, Olivia Dubro for best Vocal Performance and Shawn Verma and Patrick Dougherty for Best Overall Talent.

Members of the Unified Track & Field team will be dismissed today at 1:25pm to participate in the time trial track meet at Urbana High School. Team members should assemble in the gym lobby area for a 1:35pm departure. Please dress appropriately.

The Varsity Tennis team kicks off their season at home today against Thomas Johnson High School.  All players should be on the tennis courts by 2:45 p.m.  Good Luck Lancers!
