This is the fourth profile in Lancer Media’s Back to School Series: People You Need to Know.  The staff members profiled in this series were selected because they influence freshmen success

One of the most important places for freshmen to know about  is the health room located across from the main gym.   Ms. Tatyana Partch is the new health room staff member.

Partch is a licensed nurse. Before coming to Linganore, she was a nurse at Carroll County Hospital. She will be helping with treatments and assessments, as well as helping with those who have chronic illness like  diabetic and asthmatic students.

She is looking forward to meeting LHS students and establishing relationships, but she says she is not there to play games. “If you want to escape from class into the health room, it’s not going to work.”

This is her first time assisting in a school health room. Partch is excited to get to know the students, and to learn the stories that students have to offer.

She says “You can come to me for advice: I’ll help you.”

Outside of school she coaches soccer and has a nine-year-old daughter.
